Grades 7 – 12

Tutoring that treats every student as an individual.

Oakville Learning Academy tutors Grades 7–12 in mathematics, English, sciences, business & economics and French. Every family begins with a 45-minute academic diagnostic and receives a written learning plan.

High school students in a small tutoring group

By subject

Specialists, not generalists.

A Grade 12 chemistry student is taught by a chemistry specialist — never by whoever happens to be free.

By course code

Straight to your child's Ontario course.

Grade 11 and 12 courses each fail students in their own specific way. Pick the code on the report card.

How we teach

Four formats, one learning plan.

One-to-One Tutoring

Fully personal sessions with a certified educator working only from your child's learning plan.

Small Group Learning

Level-matched groups of no more than four, so momentum comes from peers as well as the teacher.

Academic Success Coaching

Weekly accountability for homework, deadlines and workload — the structure that turns effort into results.

Exam Preparation

Timed past-paper programmes for term exams, finals and university-track summatives.

Study skills are not a separate service. Organization, note-taking and exam strategy are built into every OLA programme, at every grade, because a student who can only perform with a tutor in the room has not actually learned anything.

Student studying with structured notes

Progress reviews

Structured check-ins that keep parents in the loop.

Session notes after every visit and a written review each term. You'll never have to guess how things are going.

  • Termly written progress reviews
  • Session notes after every visit
  • Goal tracking against the learning plan
